Safety Compliant Prescription Sun Glasses
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, employers have a responsibility to ensure employees are provided a safe working environment. Addressing sun safety is an essential part of this since outdoor workers naturally spend more time exposed to UV radiation, putting them at greater risk of sun damage.
The UV radiation from the sun can damage not only the skin of your eyelid but also the cornea, lens and other parts of the eye. To protect your eyes, look for sunglasses that block 100% of both UVA and UVB rays and screens out 75% to 90% of visible light.
With a vast variety of working environments in British Columbia, many of which involve working in direct sunlight. Providing and encouraging sun protection for outdoor workers helps create a healthy and safe workplace.
In order to address this gap in the workplace, Eyesafe has further consolidated its agreement with Wiley X to supply CSA / ANSI compliant prescription sun protection eyewear.
From November 1st, the Wiley X Climate Control Series has been added to our prescription safety eyewear program.
The Climate Control Series features multiple styles that fit most head shapes and sizes. You can opt for wraparound sunglasses or close-fitting sunglasses with wide lenses that protect your eyes from every angle.
All the frames come with a removable face seal that prevents the fine dust and dirt particles from getting into your eyes.
All frames are fully Rx able with either direct edging or using the Rx cups.
